6. Start the flower design with dots
The number of flowers that you make on your nails depends on you and the length of your nails. Longer nails could accommodate two to three flowers of varying sizes. Shorter nails would look good with just one or one and a half flower. If you have a steady hand, you can use the nail polish brush. If not, you could place a big drop of nail polish on a piece of paper or on a plastic plate and dip the bigger point of the toothpick in it. Place five small dots in a circle to resemble the flower petals. This would make one flower, so decide where to place the dots and how many you want.
