2. Heart Disease
A latest study conducted at Ohio State University proved that the omega 6 fatty acids found in safflower oil can help reduce bad cholesterol and ultimately prevent the development of heart disease. The study found that after 16 weeks of daily consuming of about 1 2/3 teaspoons of safflower oil, the cholesterol level of participants significantly dropped by 14%. In addition, researchers also discovered that the oil reduces the amount of C-reactive protein (CRP) in the blood. While it is not totally considered dangerous to health, an increased amount of CRP in the body can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.
